Important Update Regarding Simplenote Syncing

A few days ago I published a writeup on how to sync Simplenote and Notational Velocity. I made the mistake of recommending a setting that would sync to Simplenote every time a file is changed in a user’s local notes directory. This seems to be causing major problems that are putting unnecessary stress on Simplenote’s servers (by no fault of Simplenote or the SimplenoteSync script). It should still be perfectly fine to have SimplenoteSync automatically run every few minutes or so, but if you setup syncing with my settings prior to today, it is crucial that you make the appropriate changes to the launchd file you created with Lingon (as illustrated below).
